Terms and Conditions

This document outlines the terms and conditions under which Dramventure accepts your (the customer/client) booking. By confirming a booking, you agree to these terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before finalising your booking. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us via email or post.

1. Private Whisky and Sightseeing Tours

Booking and Payment Terms:

  • To confirm a booking, a non-refundable deposit of 40% of the total tour price is required.
  • The remaining balance must be paid no later than 60 days prior to the tour’s departure date.
  • For bookings made within 60 days of departure, the full payment is required at the time of confirmation.

Cancellations by the Client:

  • In the event of a cancellation by the client after the deposit has been paid, the deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable.
  • If cancellation is made more than 60 days before the tour departure, no further payment is required.
  • If the full balance has already been paid, the client will receive a refund as follows:
    • A full refund minus the deposit for cancellations made 60+ days before departure.
    • For cancellations made less than 60 days before the start of the tour, the following refund schedule applies:
      • 59 to 30 days before start: 40% of the balance
      • 29 to 0 days before start: No refund

Non-Payment:

  • If the remaining balance is not paid by the 60-day deadline, we reserve the right to cancel the booking and retain the deposit.

Cancellations by the Company:

  • Dramventure reserves the right to cancel tours under exceptional circumstances. In such cases, clients will be notified promptly and offered:
    1. A transfer to a substitute tour, or
    2. An alternative tour of equivalent value, or
    3. A refund of all prepaid monies.

2. Force Majeure

Dramventure shall not be held liable for any loss, inconvenience, or damage caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • War or threat of war
  • Riot or civil unrest
  • Terrorist activity
  • Industrial disputes
  • Natural disasters
  • Fires
  • Sickness or pandemics
  • Severe weather conditions
  • Government or airport regulations
  • Technical, mechanical, or electrical failures of transport or accommodation facilities
  • Nuclear incidents or radioactive contamination

3. Travel Insurance

All clients are strongly advised to obtain comprehensive travel insurance covering medical emergencies, cancellations, personal liability, and loss of personal belongings. Dramventure does not provide travel insurance, and participation in our tours is at your own risk.

4. Liability for Third-Party Services

Certain attractions, transport services, and experiences offered during our tours are operated by third-party providers. These services are subject to the terms and conditions of the respective providers, and Dramventure cannot accept liability for any issues arising from their operation.

5. Refusal of Travel

Dramventure reserves the right to refuse travel to any individual whose behaviour or conduct may cause offence, discomfort, or distress to other participants. Additionally, any person exhibiting symptoms of illness that may pose a health risk to others may also be denied travel.

It is the responsibility of all clients to ensure they are fit to travel on the scheduled departure date.

In the event that a client is refused travel for any of the above reasons, full cancellation charges will apply, and Dramventure shall bear no further responsibility or liability towards the affected client or any accompanying passengers.

6. Smoking Policy

Smoking, including the use of electronic cigarettes (e-cigarettes), is strictly prohibited on all tour vehicles. For the comfort of all passengers, designated stops will be made during the journey to allow those who wish to smoke an opportunity to do so. Passengers are requested to adhere to this policy at all times to ensure a pleasant experience for everyone on the tour.

7. Media Consent

By participating in a tour, you grant Dramventure permission to capture and use images and videos taken during the tour for promotional and advertising purposes across various media, including but not limited to the company website and social media channels.

If you prefer not to have your image or video used, you must notify us in writing via email prior to the start of the tour.

8. Governing Law

These terms and conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Scotland, and all disputes arising under or in connection with them shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.

9. Amendments to Terms and Conditions

Dramventure reserves the right to modify or update these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice. The latest version will always be available on our website.
