Our journey begins with a visit to one of Scotland’s most exciting new distilleries—Dunphail Distillery. Though a newcomer, Dunphail embraces traditional methods, placing great care into every step of the whisky-making process. It is one of only two distilleries in Scotland to malt all its barley onsite using a traditional malting floor. The experience starts with a welcome drink, followed by an exclusive tour of the production facilities. Your visit concludes with a tasting of three specially selected whiskies, and you’ll also take home a branded Dunphail tasting glass as a souvenir.
After this unique experience, we’ll stop in the picturesque town of Grantown-on-Spey for lunch.
Following lunch, we head to our second distillery, The Cairn. This innovative and modern distillery contrasts beautifully with Dunphail’s traditional approach. Focused on sustainability, The Cairn is a state-of-the-art, net-zero facility. During the visit, you’ll explore the production area before enjoying a guided tasting of three handpicked whiskies in their stunning tasting room, complete with breathtaking views of the Cairngorms.
Next, we’ll make an optional stop at the iconic Walker’s Shortbread Factory for those interested in stocking up on sweet treats—perfect for pairing with whisky.
On our return to Aberdeen, we’ll pause for a photo opportunity at the iconic Craigellachie Bridge, designed by Thomas Telford, spanning the beautiful River Spey.

As not all distilleries permit children on their tours, we generally do not allow children on our scheduled tours. However, if you book a private tour, we can customise the itinerary to ensure a family-friendly experience, allowing your children to join and enjoy the journey with you
It starts at 7:45am and we are planning to be back in Aberdeen around 5:30-6pm
If you are running late, please inform us as soon as possible, and we will do our best to wait or arrange an alternative solution. However, as our distillery visits are scheduled within pre-booked time slots, we reserve the right to depart if you are not at the agreed departure point on time. In such cases, no refund will be provided
As all our scheduled tours, this tour is conducted in English.
For all our scheduled tours, we kindly ask you to limit your luggage to one small piece per person (a standard airline cabin bag or a small backpack is acceptable). For private and tailored tours, the luggage allowance may be greater and will depend on the size of your group
Most of the distilleries provide complimentary Wi-Fi for their guests. If needed, we can also set up a hotspot for internet access while travelling in our vehicle
