Itinerary
Our day begins with a visit to the renowned GlenDronach Distillery, celebrated for maturing nearly all its whiskies in premium ex-sherry casks. During this immersive experience, you’ll explore the production area and participate in a guided tasting of three exceptional sherry-cask-matured single malts. For enthusiasts, additional drams can be purchased from GlenDronach’s well-stocked distillery bar.
Following our visit to GlenDronach, we’ll head to Morgan McVeighs Restaurant for a delightful lunch, offering a great selection of locally inspired dishes.
After lunch, we’ll take a short detour to the Loanhead of Daviot Standing Stones, an ancient stone circle dating back to the Bronze Age. This brief stop provides a unique glimpse into Scotland’s rich prehistoric heritage, with an opportunity to capture some memorable photos.
We then continue to our second destination: the Glen Garioch Distillery, located in the charming village of Oldmeldrum. Known as one of Aberdeenshire’s hidden gems, Glen Garioch produces outstanding single malts using traditional methods. Here, you’ll witness the rare practice of onsite floor malting of barley, a time-honoured process preserved by only a handful of distilleries in Scotland. You’ll also tour the production facilities, admire the beautiful copper stills, and visit a traditional dunnage warehouse before concluding with a tasting of three of their finest single malts.

As not all distilleries permit children on their tours, we generally do not allow children on our scheduled tours. However, if you book a private tour, we can customise the itinerary to ensure a family-friendly experience, allowing your children to join and enjoy the journey with you
It starts at 8:30am and we are planning to be back in Aberdeen around 5-5:30pm
If you are running late, please inform us as soon as possible, and we will do our best to wait or arrange an alternative solution. However, as our distillery visits are scheduled within pre-booked time slots, we reserve the right to depart if you are not at the agreed departure point on time. In such cases, no refund will be provided
As all our scheduled tours, this tour is conducted in English.
For all our scheduled tours, we kindly ask you to limit your luggage to one small piece per person (a standard airline cabin bag or a small backpack is acceptable). For private and tailored tours, the luggage allowance may be greater and will depend on the size of your group
Most of the distilleries provide complimentary Wi-Fi for their guests. If needed, we can also set up a hotspot for internet access while travelling in our vehicle
Yes, some distilleries offer discounts for our customers, including voucher offers for purchases at their distillery shops. Your guide will inform you of any available discounts during your tour

- Cash or card for all your whisky shopping – there will be lots of special bottles available to buy at the distilleries;
