We begin our adventure bright and early as we set off from Aberdeen, travelling through scenic Highland landscapes on our way to Campbeltown, once known as the "Whisky Capital of the World." Our whisky journey starts with guided tours of two iconic distilleries—Springbank Distillery, celebrated for its traditional production methods, and Glengyle Distillery, home to Kilkerran single malts.
We’ll then visit Cadenhead’s Warehouse for an exclusive warehouse tasting, where you’ll sample exceptional whiskies straight from the cask, handpicked by Cadenhead’s experts.
In the evening, we’ll board a ferry to Islay, Scotland’s legendary whisky island. Upon arrival, we’ll head to our luxurious accommodation in the heart of Port Ellen, where you can unwind for the night.
Over the next three days, we’ll visit all ten of Islay’s distilleries. Our itinerary includes comprehensive tours at Laphroaig, Lagavulin, Kilchoman, Ardnahoe, Bruichladdich, Bunnahabhain, and Bowmore. At the remaining three distilleries, we’ll enjoy a brief visit, sampling a dram or two of their finest offerings.
We’ll also take a ferry to the Isle of Jura for a full distillery tour at Jura Distillery, known for its remote location and distinctive island spirit. In addition to whisky experiences, we’ll explore Islay’s rich history and natural beauty, with stops at landmarks such as the ancient Finlaggan site, the iconic Kildalton Cross, and some of the island’s stunning beaches.
Please note: The order in which we visit the distilleries and the exact day of our trip to Jura may vary, depending on availability.
On the final morning, we’ll make one last distillery visit before catching the ferry back to the mainland. Afterward, we’ll begin our scenic drive back to Aberdeen, where we expect to arrive by early evening.
