Our adventure begins with a visit to the prestigious Dalmore Distillery, renowned for its exceptional single malts and legendary craftsmanship. You’ll explore their production facilities and conclude with a tasting of some of Dalmore’s finest whiskies, showcasing their mastery in maturation and sherry cask aging.
After this, we’ll stop for lunch at a local restaurant before heading to Glenmorangie Distillery, home to Scotland’s tallest stills. At Glenmorangie, you’ll enjoy a tour of their state-of-the-art facilities followed by a curated tasting of their flagship expressions.
In the late afternoon, we’ll arrive in Dornoch and check into the historic Dornoch Castle Hotel. Depending on availability, there may be a chance for a brief visit to the nearby Dornoch Distillery, a small, family-run operation producing exceptional craft spirits. While not guaranteed, a lucky opportunity to peek inside this artisan distillery offers insight into their dedication to whisky production—a fascinating contrast to the larger distilleries.
In the evening, unwind with an optional whisky tasting at the world-famous Dornoch Castle Whisky Bar, renowned for its exceptional collection of rare and vintage whiskies.
After a delicious breakfast at the hotel, we’ll begin our day at Clynelish Distillery, a Highland treasure celebrated for its waxy, complex single malts. You’ll tour the production facilities and savour a tasting of their signature expressions, including unique releases that embody the character of the Highland coastline.
Following a lunch stop in the scenic northern Highlands, we’ll visit Balblair Distillery, one of Scotland’s oldest distilleries. Balblair offers a traditional whisky experience, featuring a guided tour of their historic facilities and a tasting of their smooth, fruit-forward single malts, and as a memento, each guest will receive a branded Balblair whisky glass to take home—a perfect keepsake of your visit.
We’ll return to Aberdeen by early evening, bringing an extraordinary Highland whisky experience to a close.
